Who is a Mentor?
A mentor is an expert! For the purposes of our exhibition project, a mentor is an expert in a field of study which you have identified as a passion. What is NOT the role of a mentor? What should they NOT do?
They should not do the work for you.
They are not permitted to leave campus with you without written consent from the parents, teachers and principal.
It is not their role to tell you the direction to take, but instead ask probing questions to help facilitate your inquiry.
They are not permitted to provide excess access to materials or resources. We want all of you to be given the same opportunities.
They should not hesitate to ask for help from the homeroom teacher or the PYP Coordinator .We want this to be a wonderful experience for them and you!
